Talveri Nova is an independent, static educational website operated for a Canadian audience. Privacy by design is our default: we avoid accounts, behavioural analytics, advertising technology and unnecessary forms. This policy describes the website as currently built. It is not a substitute for legal advice and must be reviewed if the operator, hosting configuration or site functions change.
1. Scope and accountability
This policy applies to personal information processed through talverinova.com. “Personal information” generally means information about an identifiable individual. It does not normally include anonymous or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to a person.
Canadian privacy obligations depend on the organization, activity and province. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may apply to private-sector commercial activity, while Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec have substantially similar private-sector laws for many activities within those provinces. Talveri Nova aims to follow the common principles of accountability, identified purposes, consent, limited collection, limited use and retention, accuracy, safeguards, openness and individual access.

2. Information we collect or may process
Information you provide
If you email an address displayed on the site, we receive your email address, message, attachments and any information you choose to provide. Do not send health records, identity documents, financial account details or other sensitive data unless specifically requested through a secure method.
The archive-bulletin form is presently a front-end demonstration. Submitting it displays an on-page message and does not transmit or retain the entered address. A mailing-list service must not be connected without updating this policy and implementing an affirmative subscription and unsubscribe process.
Age preference stored on your device
After you confirm that you are at least 18, JavaScript stores talverinova-age=confirmed in local storage. The value contains no birth date or identity information and is not automatically sent with requests. See our Cookie Policy for technical details and a reset control.
Technical request and security data
When any website is requested, the hosting provider necessarily receives network and device information needed to return the page. Logs may include IP address, request time, requested URL, referring URL, response code, approximate location derived from IP, user-agent string and security events. Talveri Nova’s front-end code does not access or combine those logs. Exact collection, processing location and retention depend on the production hosting provider and must be documented before launch.
Information we do not intentionally collect
- government identifiers, birth dates or identity-verification documents;
- payment cards, bank details, deposits or gambling transactions;
- precise geolocation, contacts, camera, microphone or device files;
- gambling behaviour, operator accounts or self-exclusion records;
- cross-site advertising identifiers or inferred interest profiles;
- information from children or minors knowingly submitted through the site.
3. Purposes, consent and reasonable use
Information is processed only for identified purposes: delivering requested pages, maintaining security, remembering the age acknowledgement, responding to messages, diagnosing faults, enforcing these Terms and complying with applicable law. We will not repurpose information in a way that is materially different from what a reasonable visitor would expect without appropriate notice and, where required, consent.
Canadian guidance emphasizes meaningful consent: people should understand what is collected, why, who receives it and the reasonably foreseeable consequences. We use implied consent only for limited, obvious actions such as responding to an email the sender initiated. Express consent would be sought before optional processing such as a real newsletter or non-essential analytics.
You may withdraw consent for optional processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Clearing site data withdraws the local age-preference storage; the notice will then reappear.
4. Disclosure and service providers
We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for behavioural advertising. Limited disclosure may occur:
- to a hosting or security provider that processes requests on our behalf;
- to an email provider when you send us a message;
- to professional advisers bound by appropriate duties, if necessary;
- to authorities or other parties when required or permitted by applicable law;
- in connection with a genuine organizational restructuring, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice.
Service providers should receive only information necessary for their function and be contractually restricted from using it for unrelated purposes. If a provider processes information outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws and lawful-access processes of that jurisdiction. Provider names and locations must be added when hosting and email services are finalized.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the identified purpose, legal obligations, security or dispute resolution. The browser age preference remains until you delete it. Ordinary correspondence should be reviewed and removed when no longer needed. Hosting logs should use the shortest retention compatible with reliable delivery and security. Backup copies may persist temporarily until rotation completes.
When information is no longer required, it should be securely deleted, anonymized or destroyed using methods appropriate to its sensitivity and format.
6. Security safeguards and incidents
Appropriate measures may include HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege administration, software updates, protected credentials, secure backups and limited logging. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information by ordinary email.
If a breach involving personal information creates a real risk of significant harm and applicable law requires action, the operator will investigate, contain the incident, notify affected individuals and regulators as required, and retain legally required breach records.
7. Access, correction and privacy choices
Subject to applicable law and limited exceptions, you may request access to personal information held about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed, request correction, withdraw optional consent, or raise a concern. We may need proportionate information to verify identity before disclosing a record. We will explain any lawful refusal and available complaint route.
To make a request, email privacy@talverinova.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Describe the record or interaction and the right you wish to exercise. Do not send identification documents until a secure verification method is agreed. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant provincial privacy regulator. We encourage contacting us first so we can attempt to resolve the concern.
8. Minors
The editorial subject matter is restricted to adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us so it can be assessed and deleted where appropriate. The age gate is a content notice, not identity verification.
9. External links
External support resources open independent websites. We do not embed them, transmit a visitor identifier to them intentionally or receive referral compensation. Their own privacy policies apply after you leave Talveri Nova.
10. Policy changes
Material updates will be posted with a revised effective date. If a change introduces a new purpose or a materially different use, additional notice or consent will be provided where required. Archived versions should be retained by the operator for accountability.

Our transparency approach is informed by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s PIPEDA consent principle and its joint meaningful-consent guidance. These links are provided as primary reference material, not as a claim that one statute necessarily governs every activity.
