A precise account of the technologies currently used by talverinova.com and the choices available in your browser.

Effective 20 August 2026Version 1.0

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used on talverinova.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. The current website is deliberately minimal: its own JavaScript does not set HTTP cookies and uses one local-storage entry solely to remember an adult-age confirmation.

Quick summary

Used

One local preference

talverinova-age stores the word “confirmed” after an adult confirms being 18 or older.

Not used

No tracking stack

No analytics, advertising, social-media pixels, personalization profiles or cross-site tracking are implemented.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text value that a website asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Session cookies normally expire when a browser closes; persistent cookies remain until expiry or deletion. First-party cookies belong to the visited domain, while third-party cookies are associated with another domain.

Local storage is a separate browser feature. Values remain on the device and are available to scripts from the same origin, but unlike cookies they are not automatically attached to every network request. Pixels, software development kits, device identifiers and browser fingerprinting can also recognize or measure visitors. This policy collectively calls them “similar technologies.”

Technology currently used

Name: talverinova-age
Type: first-party browser local storage
Purpose: remember that the visitor confirmed being at least 18
Value: confirmed
Duration: until the visitor clears site data or uses the reset control below
Personal data: no name, birth date, IP address or identity document is placed in this value

The age preference is functional. It does not establish legal age, identify the visitor or determine whether a particular activity is legal in their province. If local storage is blocked, the site remains readable after confirmation, but the notice may reappear later.

Technologies we do not currently use

  • Google Analytics or other audience-measurement cookies;
  • advertising networks, remarketing identifiers or conversion pixels;
  • social-network widgets, embedded feeds or tracking pixels;
  • affiliate attribution, operator-referral or commission cookies;
  • personalization or recommendation profiles;
  • heatmaps, session replay, keystroke capture or browser fingerprinting;
  • payment, account-login or shopping-cart cookies;
  • geolocation, microphone, camera or notification permissions.

Because no optional analytics or advertising technologies are deployed, the current site does not display a separate accept/reject cookie banner. The 18+ notice is an age-content control, not consent to marketing or analytics.

Hosting and external websites

A hosting provider or content-delivery network may process ordinary HTTP requests and security logs to deliver the site. Depending on final deployment, that provider could set operational security cookies—for example, to distinguish abusive traffic. Talveri Nova’s static source does not require such a cookie. The site owner must update this policy before enabling a feature that changes this description.

Links to 211 Canada, Government of Canada resources and other independent sites do not embed their content on Talveri Nova. Those websites may use their own cookies only after you follow a link. Their policies, not this one, govern that activity.

How to control browser storage

You can remove the Talveri Nova preference with the reset button above or through browser settings. Most browsers allow you to inspect site data, delete data for a particular domain, block all cookies or block third-party cookies. Blocking all storage may cause the age notice to reappear but does not prevent access after confirmation.

“Do Not Track” signals are not consistently standardized. Talveri Nova does not create advertising or analytics profiles regardless of whether that signal is enabled. Global Privacy Control is likewise not needed to opt out of a sale because we do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising.

Consent and future changes

If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential storage is proposed later, it must not be activated until the site provides appropriate notice and choice. Materially different processing may require express consent depending on sensitivity, reasonable expectations and applicable Canadian law. A newsletter backend would also require an affirmative subscription flow and unsubscribe controls consistent with applicable requirements. For context, the CRTC explains the core CASL requirements for commercial electronic messages in its official compliance overview.

Updates and contact

We will revise the effective date and summary if storage practices change. Questions can be sent to privacy@talverinova.com. Please do not include sensitive personal information in ordinary email.

This policy describes the checked-in website code as of 20 August 2026. Production infrastructure should be audited after hosting is selected and before launch.
